STC Football?

Hi
Summer is coming.

Instead of going to the pub (immediately), would anyone be interested in going to pitch and get some muddy kicking a ball around?
Football (as in Soccer) or Association Football and not american football nor rugby...

Well English is well known for Football, right?

Lets see if anyone knows a pitch or want to participate?
I would.

PS: Beer afterwards is a no-brainer.

I'm not a great fan of Football personally HAT, but suggestions for none binge drinking activities are most welcome.

Perhaps you should have tried tennis as the inaugural StC sport?

It was the "no rugby or american football" bit that killed it. We all know that footie is a poofters sport and here on stc we can only enthuse ourselves for some real man-on-man action.

I would prefer the football of the yankees, tag rugby is so prissy and having had 7 brawny guys pushing themselves up my backside for 10 years or so, tight-end is a position that appeals to me.

I cannot say tennis, cos it requires skills while football requires will only.

In case your not aware of it, there are some arranged kick abouts both at the Zoo on Saturdays (i think) and also at Saalsporthalle pitches on other days.

You can check FootyList but it seems like not much is happening at the moment but I assume it will be running again soon.

They used to be every Tuesday and Thursday evening and sometimes on a Sunday and would get a lot of people playing. Things died off a bit last year, I hope it gets going again soon.
