Default Surviving with children in Switzerland (giving parents a break)

I thought it would be worth compiling a list of things to do in Switzerland for those with kids, primarily aimed at giving parents a break.

I'll start.

Madrisa in Davos has "Madrisa Land" where they will take kids for 10chf for the first hour then 5chf per hour. Lunch is 8chf. They take kids 0-6, you don't need to book in advance, just drop them off earliest 09:30 and pick them up latest 16:00.

They have a great kids park with trampolines etc to keep the kids entertained.

Brilliant idea Mr P, unfortunately my girl seems welded to me! For days out with her we go to technorama, the transport museum in Luzern, ice skating at the Herti in Zug and the park amongst other places. I try to avoid places like trampolino for the sake of sanity. The swiss holiday park in Morsach is fab too.

Strange coincidence Biggy.
I've thought of another place that is good for families, I know it's supposed to be to give the parents a break but watching yoru child being chased by deer is worth the entrance price to the Tierpark in Goldau.
Another is Ballenberg, lots of houses and a dairy to look round.

+1 for the Tierpark

I have been 3 times.......especially in the summer its a great day out!

There is also a lovely Italian resturant (come out of the park, turn right and its about 200 yards up the road on the left........on a corner i think).

cheers

The sculpture walk on Zugerberg is worth an hour or two of your time. If you take the train up it makes it more of an adventure than driving. Also, there's a brilliant play area with a flying fox etc. as well as loads of barbecue pits.

One place I won't recommend is the dinosaur museum. 48chf for the three of us. Girl was much more interested in the gift shop
I had the idea in my mind that it would be more interactive and hands on than it is. At least we can say we've been.

you should think about getting the Schweizer Museumspass. We don't use it that much but I find it far less painful paying a fee yearly than the continual affront every time I pay a ticket to go to a museum.
