Default Cleaner cost?

Can anyone tell me how much a cleaner would charge per hour? I know this is a random question with many variables, but someone travelling to your flat, cleaning and ironing and maybe some child supervision.
Thanks.

Budget for between CHF25 and 35 per hour, that seems to be the standard rate I've heard here, for basic cleaning. Not sure if the child minding would attract a premium though.

In central Zurich, they can ask as much as 38CHF/hour. Normally, these persons would do only the cleaning and expect fin a tidy flat (not pre-cleaned, but with things out of the way and a bit organized). For child supervision, I have no idea...

Well... a friend of mine was asked 38 w/o reciepts in Baar not long ago. In Central Zurich, it is a rate that is getting more and more frequent. It is so hard to find a good cleaner people just pay whatever they ask..

Going back to 2001 here, but I got one for 20 per hour. When I saw how fast she worked I felt a bit guilty about having struck such a hard deal (it was about the bottom rate) and voluntarily bumped it up to 25 per hour.

Back in England (when I had ladies volunteering, yay!) how we worked out the price was to look at the ads in the local evening paper and take the mid rate.

There's another point to leaving the place tidy for cleaners. They might not understand what a satellite mounting bracket is and chuck it, or put bottles in your normal rubbish bag etc. Also keep essential paperwork tidied away (even my own mother was guilty of throwing out VAT receipts ).

i tell you what: my flat got cleaned by putzfrauvermittlung.ch. they charged 36/h. the agency paid the tax n insurance. the service was good, but sucked big time later. not the cleaning but the agency's admins.

on EF (...erm..) i got hold of my new cleaning lady. she comes all the way down from Pfäffikon to Zurich. she is absolutely magic! i pay 25chf/ hour for basic cleaning. imagine that: i said "can you do my windows?" n i topped that up with 30chuffs...when i got home the last time she put a tenner back saying "did it quicker then estimated"->

and the flat looks n smells always like freshly showered. she does soooo much extra without me telling her that, she treats my propperty so sensitive and sweet, she buys the run out cleaning crap (i pay her back)...

asked her the last time if she wants more clients and from March onwards: yes. lemme know if you want to try her cleaning skills ...

A right pain in the backside too. insists on putting my shaving gear in the cupboard and changing the position of the soap dish from right to left. A real war of attrition this one.

Maybe I should shoot her?
