Default It looks like a long summer: what are your plans?

Hardly any posts here about real issues, or real debates or real topics of interest.

One long hot summer?

My mum is visiting us next week over the whole summer (8 weeks) and we plan to spend time with her.

Children will go to swimming pools, theme parks (maybe Legoland in DE) and of course circus's.

What are your plans for summer?
Any ideas to share?

Swimming pools

I have been looking at events over the summer, and there is quite a lot on but i miss it for one reason or another. I was hoping to go to Langstrasse festival but they aren't running it this year. We went to the Rappi jazz fest yesterday and it was nice sitting in the son trying a selection of different foods, I'm trying to find similar events that are child compatible.

I'm enjoying it, but the way the weather has brought the pretty girls out is causing me to not hurry my lunch breaks.

Nearly time for lunch

Don't forget that the warmer weather has also removed the tops of the road workers. Some of these men really are easy on the eye. Daughter and I rate them out of ten on the dingdongometer. You must use the voice of the sainted Leslie Philips 'ooooh I say DingDong' before giving the score.
or was it Terry Thomas?

ditto for the construction site next to work... makes eating your lunch on the roof terrace overlooking said site a real spectator sport.

or so the ladies at my work tell me, I would never indulge in such sports, as it simply demeans the men into objects of lust....

Definitely Leslie Phillips, and in that film he was called Bell.

Now which film was it? Carry On Doctor?
