If you are going to watch this enjoy the cinematography but don't drink anything alcoholic because it will easily send you off to sleep. A loose, slow moving plot with uninspiring action scenes make it worth avoiding even if Camilla Belle is hot.
.

Pretty much anything by Roland Emerich starts off looking like a great idea but the actual rendition is a bit naff, examples would be Stargate, great idea turned out to be crap, Independance Day, another good idea but so full of holes it was dreadful and that awful "Henry V" style yee ha speech was cringe factor 9, Day after Tomorrow - nice idea with some nice moments but overall score from me would be 2/10

How about Ridley Scott? Bladerunner is one of my all time best movies, Alien was awesome but he's not above cheesy movies either, Gladiator being a good example although I still loved the film

Seconded. Especially loved it after I finally figured out why the owner of the supermarket seemed so very familiar...

If you want something really thought-provoking, "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" will fit the bill.

I enjoyed "American Dreamz" that's dreams with a Zeeee. It's not my favourite or anything, I've just seen mostly crap movies of late.

Akshuly, I just remembered the original "Hairspray" which was totally great. And, now that the coffee's kicked in and my brain seems to work, I've remembered my Fav! I love "Fiddler on the Roof"!! Or, as I like to call it, Jews Gone Mad!!

Default 2008 Journey to the centre of the Earth

Well,
this one is really defying all Physics and common sense.
A dinosaur in this movie?
A roller-coaster type of train ride?
All very Disneyland preped plot.

However, it is fun for fans of the original movie. 1970s?
««««/5 stars for entertainment

«/5 star for realism.

I know its not a film but i would recommend highly 'Spaced'

It is the TV show that this lot wrote, acted, directed etc... for channel 4 before Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.

From wiki: "It is noted for its rapid-fire editing, frequent dropping of pop-culture references, and occasional displays of surrealism."

Read more here.

Get series 1 & 2 in the lovely box set and you shall be more than happy.
