Who says his opinion has not considered personal hygiene, and respect for the others. Why does he have smelly feet is the question? Is it an illness, is he showering and changing socks, did he get new shoes, was it the old shoes that smelt. It could be a health problem, and not just a personal hygiene thing, we can only control the smells that come from us to a point.

If it was an illness or medical condition, he wouldn't have to embark in lengthly 10-year legal battle... Banning him due to smelly feet would have been considered a discrimination, and that his not tolerated in any civilized country. If the student was discriminated due to a condition, probably the tone of the judge would have been different and the university might have to pay him a compensation.

I agree that we can only control our own smell up to point.... but for this person, things seems to have been way out of control. It may not bother him, yet others might have a different opinion.

I just wonder how bad his feet smell, and if they still smell after 10years have passed. Besides that how many people really wanted to ban him due to this.
Did they give him a chance to fix the problem first and then ban him or just go straight to it. I will have to read more up on it.
