Okay, so finally I got myself registered here as a member. Phew, you lot must be quite young? I had terrible trouble getting registered, until I took ten years off my age .... and then, like, hey presto .... no problems anymore! So here I am. Thank you for accepting the New Younger Version of ME.

I am from South Africa, Durban coastal area. From living next to the sea, I now live in a little cow town in Switzerland. Nice to find friendly places on the internet to have "conversations" in mother tongue. My german is improving now, after 3 years and persevering with formal lessons. Problem is in finding conversational outlets to practice my new language skills, so I still think in english.

Welcome to the forum smoky, you will find that most of us aren't as young as we like to think....

Don't let the language thing get on top of you old smoky (all covered in snow)

Newbies must attend a curry dinner within three weeks of registering otherwise they have to repeat the register procedure every month.
