I try not to BigD and play by the rule, but some stuff seems to be too much to bear for others ... so either I should think twice before posting or I will delete the crap myself.

To be honest, I think a lot of people have no problem doing exactly that simply because they personally don't really believe in monogamy. Society does and society impose this view on us but I think a lot of people actually wouldn't have a problem with polyamory were it more accepted. So they take the second best, they cheat and they keep quiet about it.

And considering how many actually cheat, it seem to be perfectly possible to have still have a strong relationship.

That may hinder some but not all. I truly believe that most cheaters actually get away with it, i.e. they aren't risking anything.

I think quite a few cheaters do so to add some missing spice in their lives.... to feel wanted again, to feel attractive again, etc. I don't think it's as much about love, or physical pleasure but more about the ego boost that comes from being wanted by someone new.

I think this is why I take the view I do (although this will not mean much to those who don't know how charming, attractive, sexy and modest I am)
