Apart from the "cars I wouldn't be seen dead in". Subaru Impreza, Fiat Multipla, Whoever made the Kangoo, self-tuned BMWs with the M3 sticker bought from a petrol station, actually pretty much anything clearly tuned with a bunch of mates at the week-end and my dad's cars as they are mobile dustbins.

I only drive my Ford Fiesta.

What does it say about me? It says that I don't waste money on
expensive cars.

I could say:

a) you are not willing to spend money on unnecessary comfort
b) you buy cars from your homeland
c) you are a cheapskate
d) you don't care what other people think
e) you are poor
f) you don't enjoy driving
g) you are old or too young
h) you are not on the pull
i) brands are of no importance
j) you want to appear poor
k) you have no neighbours to impress
l) you carry animals
m) you have a small family
n) you don't often travel long distance
o) you live in a high crime area
.....

It could be interpreted in many ways, some of which you may not even recognise yourself...

Point taken but the "perception" is among men that ladies prefer a man with a flash car.

It would be interesting to find out how many of our ladies here chose a man (length of relationship is irrelevant - either one night stand or marriage) because of the car he drove.

Personally speaking that has never been a factor for me. He could have the most expensive car in the world but if he's a tosser he drops off my list.

When I got together with my husband he was driving a MK 1 VW Golf. Previous boyfriends have had:

Peddle car (OK, we were toddlers)
Citroen Visa GTi, then Fiat Tipo
Nissan Sunny, then a Toyota something or other
Rover 216
Peugeot 206

I have a battered estate car with a dog cage in the back, so I guess I would appeal to women with lots of kids and a dog.
