Logging Out

Is there any potential security risk for users not logging out? Should I close all sites where I have to log in before accessing my bank account, etc?

I've no idea. I presume there are barriers preventing info from flowing in two directions.

You mean specific to this site?

If you choose to stay logged in we place a cookie, so the only risk (I can think of) is that somebody else gets access to your computer they will be able to access your StC account.

Sessions to website are completely separate from one another.

I would suggest logging out of your StC account when you are away , lest some rogue comes along and posts something intelligent.

I'm wondering more along the lines of spyware; could the admins - not from here, natch - somehow utilise a super-cookie which can see what else you're browsing? Or is your excellent nose candy making me paranoid?

No we can't see where you go afterward with a "super cookie". The cookie we use is only any use to us whilst you are connected to our site, after that it has value at all.

You should come to StC drinks more often - Peachy rolls out the browsing history of all members and we all have a good laugh - I never knew there was a section in youporn on transexual dwarfs until we saw your logs ....

gee, not too long ago I saw that I wasn't logged out from here can you believe I stayed logged in all night ... !!! When I opened the Website sometime during the day, there I was ready to go but I didn't have anything intelligent to say ... so I simply logged out and went my way

'Deep-packet' snooping, I understand it's termed. It seems possible, judging from various news articles: apparently search engines are monitoring searches despite cookie settings and feeding advertisers the info.

Everyone knows my love for Trans Dwarfs, I've nothing to hide. It's just ...you know, the other stuff...
