Either way you should never get a 500 error.

I am pursuing this, since I think it is the same issue we saw when we upgraded the web server recently and I can now reproduce it on the other server, I'm waiting for the developers to come back with exact test cases they need me to run.

We know that the issue you face does not appear to be widespread, not to say that makes i less annoying for you, and appears to occur only with some proxy configurations. Before Monday I had never seen this issue. I'll keep you updated.

While we are at it, let me say that I have found I can now post again using Firefox on the Mac. I would have liked to ascribe the fix to Mr Peachy's diligent hacking at the server, but since it still works after the rollback I have to reluctantly conclude that it was thanks to the latest Firefox update.

Cyrus, I'm going to switch out the web server on our test server with another one when I get time so you can test a post or two (at your convenience of course) and we can isolate the issue as our current webserver.
