Would you mind explaining to me please what the difference is between the numbers of

Members & Active Members showing on the Shooting the Cheese Statistics

and also the difference between
Active Users & Guests

Members: People that have signed up to the forum
Active Members : people that have signed up to the forum visited in last period.
Guests: people that are not members or have not logged in.

So you mean there are around 270 people signed up
around 120 visited and not all that many actually say anything
or are simply silent spectators ???

There are many lurkers hanging on your every post....

If you had say...25000 Members since you set up a forum years ago, and say....6500 Active Members for example it might seem strange that if there was an average of only say 60 members online at any one time, how can you have 6500 Active Members in the true sense of the word ? How long since such an "Active" member actually visited ?

An interesting question you may think...

It is rather funny actually. I always have the feeling there are just the few regulars here, talking away

Sada if you click on currently active users you can see what people are viewing, including the guests. Guests often read the forum (the parts they have access to anyway).
