Countdown to 5000 Posts !

So we are getting close to 5000 posts, and a worthy milestone, and I hope the first of many to come. Who wants the honour of making it ?

I can't excel at everything. I am a good cook and reasonable ironer, tremendous toilet and bathroom cleaner I just can't get used to computers and all the stuff that goes with them. I blame it on using pens at school. Our girl is more gifted at IT than me.

Well.. perhaps it will please you to know we have a team of fine people working-hard behind the scenes to bring you a new venue for chat, banter and ramblings. Please expect an announcement shortly.

Suffice to say that they seem content in their task, are adequately fed, and to-date none has thrown toys out of the pram, or stormed off into the darkness.

I asked this before and it was never properly resolved. Do you want donations toward the cost of running the site? or a fundraiser, I could make some pies to sell.

Thanks for your kind offer of help, it is much appreciated. At the moment we are considering a number of options but no fundraising is envisaged at this time. I'll be making some clear announcements in the near future, and your support in terms of contributions is great, so we can all help make it a success.
