What makes a good Forum?

Seriously though, I am really sad to hear thatabout the EF. Why are they bailing out Planty? All jokes aside, I would have thought the job would have become easier in the last week or so.

I think they got a bit too excited about being mods to be honest.

I've met Lob, he's a nice bloke, but the EF regulars are generally a quite intelligent bunch and I felt the silent disapproval when they were spoken to like kids.

I've had numerous discussions with Lob and Gooner about some of my posts being deleted, and I have to say, I found both of them to be very approachable. I would have liked to have met up with them for a drink, had things turned out differently.

Are we tolerating plagiarism of "the other place"? For example, will we do the ??? of the day stuff? Or are we trying to be completely original?

Perhaps I'm a little cynical but the supermods bailing out might also have to do with the ambivalence about the EF ownership (which I am led to belive is the Fyvie family).
Letting a forum slowsly die off reduces its value.

I think it's a pity though, was always a supported of the forum since I thought it was mostly quite a decent place and also very informative.

What's quite interesting is in a period of two days or so, the EF seems to be imploding.
