You know I speak the truth. Question is are you honest enough to acknowledge? Evidently not as you locked my thread. I do wonder if mods everywhere take an oath to become hypocrites or does the God complex take full control? Kind of sad that you ended up just like them. You might not ban people as easily but the way discussion gets controlled a ban might be preferable.

We just could not believe the frumpy, arrogant, snooty, snotty, holier than thou BS attitude exhibited by its members.

We would post something, or read other threads, and inevitably get/read the following:

"Oh! Oh! Look here! This has clearly been answered in another thread from 2005 with slightly different search parameters! I'm going to heap scorn and derision upon you!"

"I know you asked for a personal recommendation from someone who has actually *been* to a dr/dentist/[service provider] in [my neighborhood of CH], but you CLEARLY are TOO STUPID to have figured out search engines on your own, let me link to google results and heap scorn and derision upon you."

"Well, even though you're really asking for help and am in need of advice here regarding a situation, while common to us expats, is new to you since you've not been here too long, let us heap scorn and derision upon you!"

"I disagree with your sense of humor. I GROAN AT THEE. And will now write a snarky response and HEAP UPON YOU SCORN .... AND DERISION."

so we were soaking all this in, saying to ourselves "wow, yknow, much like how freerepublic is a great place to see the absolute worst side of american national character (jingoistic inbred stupidity laced with ignorance and overblown sense of patriotism coupled at the hip with the inability to understand anything not of your hometown), this particular forum seems to revel in the absolute worst side of the English national character: judgmental, condescending, arrogant, besserwisserisch, frumpy and insufferable.

I am a very avid online forum poster person, worked my whole career in .coms and love social networking etc. I was so disappointed in that *other* forum. Today, when i was inquiring about yet another poster who was banninated, i was told to come here, because it was alleged, that this forum was started by people who had had a similar experience with those gits. As much as it was helpful, and it was at times extremely so, the 'tude was just intolerable.
