The EU has recently capped roaming charging but of course the swiss companies continue to charge stupid prices, as they do for so much else.

So.. I was in London and bought a couple of prepay SIM cards from an Orange UK shop. The SIM cards were free if you buy more than 5GBP of credit. The cost of calls are now 38p ( 60rappen) to call other phones to countries Zone1 (most of Europe including Switzerland) and 75p to more esoteric countries.

This means keeping in touch when outside CH just got a lot more reasonable, no thanks to the swiss mobile phone companies.
