I'm back at the market tomorrow and from now we are allowed to bring what cheese we like. The original limit of 2 cheeses, with other British foods, was to not upset all the other cheese stall holders, some of whom have been there for years (and I actually quite understood) but now they realise we bring a lot of new people into the market.
Only one stall holder complained about us coming in, and he was a real trouble maker, always complaining and the organisors were getting sick of him. He told the management "Either they (us) go or I do"
"Good bye!" was the reply.
If you can't get to the market Wednesdays, it looks like there will be somewhere else to buy my "proper" British cheese in Zurich from next month. Nothing signed yet but it looks pretty certain that Jelmoli will have 10 of our cheeses on permanent offer with monthly guest cheeses. Part of the deal is that I have to go in once or twice a month to promote the curdy delights. You heard it here first folks and I'll be sure to post an invite here for the first tasting!
