I am now of the belief that there is no best beer, only beers to suit moods moments and situations. In fact I would say if you really like beer it would be silly to have a favourite beer as such. As I discussed in the events thread a moment ago I had a very crisp refreshing lager tonight, and part of the crispness was created by but also caused gassiness. This was not a criticism of the lager, but made me think that there are certain constraints you work within when brewing beer that place you in a triangle of options.
What are your thoughts on this? Is this why we identify mass produced beer to be sub standard, because it is right in the middle of the triangle? |

And left me in my stately home,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
