Another Swiss beer winner found. A dark, sweet, full bodied stout, but my god the 10% alcohol factor will get you.
La Cuvée Alex le Rouge (10.276%) Brasserie des Franches-Montagnes: Les Bières
Available on tap at BAR63 8004 Zurich. Bar 63 - 8004 Zuerich
Large selection of wine, whiskey and rum available as well.

Oddly enough I'm just gathering bottles to take back to Baarer Braueri. We seemed to have got through a number of mandelgold at the weekend

I haven't been out much in Zürich recently, but I regularly have a couple of beers in germany two or three times a week.
The last two occasions I drank beer in Zürich (the house beer whatever it was) I have had the mutha of all headaches. Not the usual mild dullness, but an sharp intense pain above the eye - almost like a migraine.
I'm not sure if it is the beer or the MSG-laden food that I had with it, or maybe I am just out of condition(ing)

Personally I don't find it to be the best beer in the world, but each to their own. I'd recommend the Biera Engadianaisa as the best Swiss beer they do.

I see people buying the Feldscheissen and really wonder if they were dropped on their heads as babies | | The following user raises their glass to salute Enikoy for this post: | |
