Me and the girl have just made some exceptionally easy no cook/boil lemonade. Get three unwaxed lemons, cut them roughly and put into a blender with around 250ml water and caster sugar according to your taste. We used about 100gm. Whiz and whiz and whiz, then strain the whole lot through a sieve over a bowl (the last three words are particularly important we only have half the amount ) and top it all up till it is about a litre all together. Chill it and enjoy it. We wont be getting scurvy.

Something I found in Migros. A sort of compressed potato with pieces of bacon in. You slice it and fry it and it is rather nice. It is a roll with a hearing aid beige cover. Even the girl will eat this.

Unblievably it's been nearly a year since I posted on this thread. I'd like to share my latest find. Cream with mushroom sauce in the chilled section of COOP. I've nver seen it in migros. I have been mainly cooking chicken breasts with some finely chopped onion and whole mushrooms in it. Then, depending on whether I'm feeling lazy I either make some spaghetti to got ith it (add some chives or something, other wise it's a study in beige) or put it into some puff pastry for pies. Yum. Also, creamed frozen leeks, these are from Migros and rather delish.

I tried yesterday a Gordon Ramsay recipe for a quick tomato sauce that was really _quick_ and _delicious.
Just chop 8 tomatoes (he suggested plum tomatoes, I tried with rispen tomatoes) and put it in a blender with a few stalks of coriander, 2 crunched garlic teeth, a knob of grated ginger, 2 table spoons of lemon juice, 2 table spoons of sugar. Blend everything until is liquid.
Put the liquid in a pan, season it with salt and pepper and let it simmer for 10-15min.
My first instinct was to stop the experiment - why on earth would I be heating my gazpacho? But, it is a truly delicious tomato sauce for you past.
Another super quick pasta sauce is butter with sage. All you have to do is melt the butter with a spoon of lemon (to avoid the butter to get yucky brownish), and then put in a few chopped sage leaves. Once they the butter starts to get greenish just put in the cooked pasta, and mix. Serve with grated parmesan (or grana padano).

To liven your sauce up a bit, I pour some vodka in just before serving. Today I am sharing with you all my lunch. Fresh bread, butter with salt sprinkled into it and then raspberry jam. I had forgotten how nice jam could be.

Aaaalmost KFC:
You will need:
Chicken pieces with the skin on
Bacon
Flour seasoned with salt and pepper
Toppits Brat schlauch (roasting bags)
Pre-heat oven to 190 degrees
Separate the skin from the chicken (ensure it's still attached on 3 sides of the piece) and push a slice of bacon underneath it.
Dredge the chicken in the seasoned flour.
Chuck the chicken in the roasting bag, then in the oven and cook until crispy.
