The reports of interest I've read say that it's

• remarkably quick
• a consumer device
• a portable telly
• it supports the document formats used by Apple's answer to Office (iWork)

I wouldn't underestimate that last point if the thing takes off. Loads of consumers using something other than MS Office... Multilingual too, something the English speaking press doesn't pay much attention to, and to get that with Windows, you need Win7 Ultimate or Enterprise Editions.

In the real news that day Oracle completed the acquisition of Sun Microsystems, which will possibly have a far greater impact on the future of enterprise computing.
