I am using a cleaner from a company (it is praticaly the only small luxury I have kept.... cleaning is not vocational for me and Mr Lucy hates it more than I do). It has been working well for me, even though I seem to be a bit demanding. I agree with you - Germanic cleaning ladies are probably the worse cleaners and they even dare complaining your house is messy and untidy.
But, truth to be said, it is good, not great, and results can be very variable. I had friends that ended up terminating the contract, and sometimes when my regular cleanner is not availlable I get really bad surprises. I guess it all boils down to which cleaner is going to do to your house.
