Alternatively when watching the English version of a film on a German language channel, that bit of French/Japanese/whatever will get German subtitles. Rinse wash and repeat for the French and Italian channels here.
P.S. Avoid going to the cinema to watch comedies in Belgium or Holland. The rest of the audience will get the verbal jokes from the subtitles, with the result that witty remarks and punch lines are drowned out with audience laughter.
