I take these words back...
I downloaded and installed under 30mins (15mins to download).
Seems ok.
The iPhone 3G performs a little more sluggish (not sure if factual), but just a feeling.
WiFi connection to home wifi was a little sluggish too, downloading my emails and my facebook connections, etc...
