You use a tall beer can type, pop the lid, inset up chicken - Chicken hangs there looking almost humanoid - fill the nick with sprigs of Rosemary, and bake in closed oven standing in a pan to catch the drips. (We use our Kacheloffen wood fire, but I`m guessing the closed Weber thing is almost as good?)....... The chicken is simply divine - all plump and tasty! And you get to cut off chunks of whatever you fancy as all is displayed in the draped carcass! |
The problem with the Weber kettle BBQ is it isn't really tall enough to accommodate a full sized chicken on end, I think you'd have to take the top grill out and cook it on the coal grill but then it might be too close to the heat source. I am considering a
Smokenator 1000 but then I don't think you'd really see the benefits of beer can chicken with the reduced heat.
