this may be true when you were a kid.
but to be realistic, nowadays almost every school kid is on some sort of social network, has a mobile phone, access to internet etc
there is no way to disassociate from this fact.
an example is
botellon parties, the numbers amassed in such a short time - this would not have been possible when you were a kid
